Tenants & Potential Home Buyers

We would like to invite you to take part in a small discussion group for tenants and home buyers around the issue of affordable housing in Chaffee County. The focus group will take 2-hours and will take place during the week of May 22nd in Buena Vista and Salida. Food during the event plus a $40 gift card to a local grocery store will be provided for participants. Childcare will be available upon request. 

 

The small group discussions will provide an opportunity for you to tell us more about your views and experiences around affordable housing in Chaffee County. In particular, we would like to:

• Hear your perspective and feedback on different existing programs, resources, and upcoming affordable housing projects in our community;

• Understand your perspectives on what you would like to see the Chaffee Housing Authority attend to in the future.

 

Your views and recommendations will help the Chaffee Housing Authority and other local entities find and implement strategies to increase affordable housing options in Chaffee County. Each group will include 6-8 participants and the discussions will be guided by facilitators from the Institute for the Built Environment. We will send out information on locations and additional details for those who register, prior to the discussions.

Spanish-Speaking Tenants & Potential Home Buyers

Estas invitado(a) a una charla sobre vivienda asequible en el condado de Chaffee para arrendatarios y futuros compradores de casa, el próximo lunes 22 de Mayo de 6pm a 8pm en Buenavista. Habrá comida durante el evento y se obsequiará un bono de $40 para un supermercado local a los participantes. El evento será para mayores, pero se ofrecerá cuidado de niños. Si usted necesita cuidado de niños debe solicitarlo días antes del evento.

 

Esta charla le permitirá expresar su opinión y experiencia sobre la vivienda asequible en el condado de Chaffee, y especialmente será nuestra oportunidad de:

• Oír su perspectiva y comentarios de varios programas, recursos, y proyectos de vivienda asequible en nuestra comunidad;

• Comprender sus perspectivas de lo que le gustaría ver que haga el Chaffee Housing Authority en el futuro.

Landlords and Property Managers (Short- and Long-term Leases)

We would like to invite you to take part in a small discussion group for rental property owners and managers around the issue of affordable housing in Chaffee County. The meetings will be held in Salida during the week of May 22nd, 2023, and will take approximately 2-hours of your time. There will also be an option to join the meeting remotely if you prefer. 

 

The small group discussions will provide an opportunity for you to tell us more about your views and perspectives around affordable housing in Chaffee County. In particular, we would like to:

• Hear your experiences and feedback on different existing programs, tools, and resources related to affordable housing in Chaffee County;

• Understand your perspectives on what you would like to see the Chaffee Housing Authority attend to in the future.

• May 24, Wednesday, 8:30-10:30 am. Tenants & Potential Homebuyers, Salida, online/in-person. SESSION CLOSED.

• May 24, Wednesday, 1-3:00 pm. Landlords/Property Managers, Salida, online/in-person. REGISTRATION CLOSED.

Tenant/PHB Listening Sessions will have food at the event, child care if requested, and will be provided a $40 Gift Card to the local grocery store upon participation. Light snacks and drinks will be provided for the Landlord/Property Manager and Short Term Rental Owner sessions.
